Backup and Recovery Assessment

The backup and recovery assessment is a fixed price packaged services that examines the backup and recovery aspects of a Oracle instance.  The engagement begins with a terms of reference document that outlines the approach, scope, assumptions and constraints; and the agreed timeline. Following this, a series of questionnaire-style reviews are completed to confirm the recovery requirements and existing practices.  Finally, a gap analysis is performed and best practices compared to produce a series of recommendations to align the backup procedures to the recovery requirements.

Security and Controls Assessment

The security assessment is a fixed price packaged services that examines the security and controls aspects of a Oracle instance.  The engagement begins with a terms of reference document that outlines the approach, scope, assumptions and constraints; and the agreed timeline. Following this, a series of questionnaire-style reviews are completed to confirm the security requirements and existing practices. Security requirements are determined by existing Security Policies, Guidelines and Standards. The following steps are then completed:

• Determine threats to Policies, Guidelines and Standards

• Assess threats using automated means where possible

• Determine control objectives

• Designing controls to meet objectives

The result is a series of controls (preventative, corrective or detective) that address threats of high seriousness and likelihood.

DBIS offers a fixed price, one week engagement and a satisfaction guarantee that makes it simple for customers to manage costs and understand time frames. 

The fee for 5 days of labor is $10K Canadian, not including travel and subsistence costs.
